  • Apollo offers its single actuator swing gate operator in two models, the 1500 and the 1550ETL. Both models are easily installed on most existing or new swing gates of up to 16 feet in length and 600 pounds. The 1550ETL model utilizes our advanced circuit board, which offers the popular soft start/soft stop feature, as well as additional inputs for a firebox, monitor lights, a lock, siren and strobe lights. Unlike other operators on the market, the 1550ETL model actually learns and stores in memory both the current limit settings and the length of the actuator stoke, creating a default setting for future cycles – allowing for longer operator life and greater safety.

    About Apollo Gate Operators

Apollo Gate Operators, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Dick Loos and Bill Duncan at a small facility in San Antonio, Texas. Dick has remained with the company and currently holds the position of President. Mark Larson was hired in 1986 to expand sales nationally and now holds the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In 1992, Apollo created Electronic Barrier Systems, Inc. to produce the linear actuators that are still used today in Apollo’s residential and light commercial swing gate operators. In 1999, as business continued to grow, Apollo built a 16,000 square foot building located at 12902 Delivery Drive in San Antonio, the company's current operating headquarters. Apollo made a commitment in 2002 to enter the commercial gate operator market with 12-volt DC commercial operators and now offers a complete line of residential and commercial slide and swing gate operators. In 2003, Frank G. Felicella (former CEO and Chairman of the national chain Builder's Square) was recruited as CEO and Chairman of Apollo. Frank's business philosophy is to provide distributors with quality products at competitive prices with the best customer service in the market. Apollo continues to develop new products and enhancements based on requests from their distributors.
